2010 Dewsbury West Lib Dem Council Candidate Nisar Choudhary and Dewsbury Parliamentary Candidate Andrew Hutchinson are leading the campaign to save services at our local hospital.
Nisar Choudhary says “Local people should not have to travel to Wakefield or Pontefract for routine treatment. Travelling so far is very difficult for the families of recovering patients.”
Andrew Hutchison says “Labour have cancelled the promised specialist cancer
care unit for Dewsbury. Recently the care of sick babies was moved to Wakefield from Dewsbury.”

Labour Government preparing plans to cut the NHS!
Despite all the promises the Labour government has asked the strategic health authorities to prepare plans for cuts in health spending after the election.
Both the old parties are promising to cut the deficit and end the recession. They both promise specific extra spending and vague unspecified spending cuts.
The Conservative priority is a cut in inheritance tax to benefit the wealthy. Labour plans an increase in national insurance to cut the deficit.
Only the Lib Dems have a costed plan to help everyone, especially the low paid, most hurt by rising food & energy bills. The Lib Dems have identified spending that can be cut without harming the economic recovery.
